Competition Hall
The Palalottomatica of Rome, designed in 1956 by Pierluigi Nervi and built four years later on the occasion of the Olympic Games, is one of the greatest examples of Italian architecture in the XX century. Through the years its significance has always been preserved with projects of renovation respectful of both its interior and exterior design.
Thanks to its great capacity, amplified by its modular structure, the Palalottomatica can give perfect hospitality to meetings of 700 people, as much as to greater events gathering more than 11.000 people in its fascinating and elegant building, unique in Rome.
The latest renovations, according to the most recent laws, made the Palalottomatica a multifunctional hall, operating 365 days per year, with 8 meeting points equipped with bars, an adequate restaurant and exposition facilities.
Facilities for person with disabilities

Right from the main entrance gates to the competition hall special markings help those with deambulation disabilities to reach smoothly the Palalottomatica itself. The building’s structure, anyway, shows very few architectural features that might be an obstacle to the physically impaired.
In the Palalottomatica there are many special facilities for people with disabilities: n° 36 reserved seats; n°1 platform from the parterre level to the expositions one; n°1 platform/elevator from the exposition level to the VIP area, situated in the intermediate ring; bathrooms on each level; security areas (quiet areas) in case of emergency.

Training hall

The Fonte Roma EUR Sports Centre, built by the sports club Fonte Meravigliosa in accordance with the town council of Rome, is considered one of the best in Lazio.
This two-storied structure, unique of its kind, consists of two eight hundred square meters wide (20x40 m) sport arenas, one on each floor, both with parquet flooring. In the first one tennis, dance, ballet, roller skating and five players football are practised. The second floor arena, with a stand from 250 to 500 seats, will be dedicated to volleyball. This is going to be the training hall of the Volleyball Senior Men’s European 2005 Championship.
